Rachel Zegler, Danielle Brooks & More Stars Sparkle at ‘CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute’ 2023 Red Carpet
Star power arrived to the American Museum of Natural History on Sunday for CNN‘s 2023 “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute.” The annual ceremony celebrates ten individuals who are making the world a better place across various causes, including child literacy, homelessness and rebuilding coral reefs.
During the occasion, numerous stars put their best foot forward as presenters for the evening’s honorees. Actresses including Rachel Zegler, Amanda Seyfried and Danielle Brooks were draped in variations on allover sequins, complete with sleek heels ranging from open-toed sandals to platforms. Meanwhile, stars including Brooke Shields and Alexa Swinton slipped on pointed pumps on the red carpet, while Sterling K. Brown and Joe Manganiello laced into dapper oxfords.
Rachel Zegler arrived to the occasion in a pair of open-toed sandals, featuring a smooth black base. The “Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” star complemented her minimalist heels with gleaming gold rings and a deep brown sleeveless dress, elevated with shiny sequins arranged in leopard spot patterns.

Amanda Seyfried hit the red carpet in a pair of soaring platform sandals, featuring smooth black patent uppers with thick heels and peep-toe straps. The “Seven Veils” actress’ attire was complete with an off-the-shoulder dress, which featured a sequined tonal green bodice and smooth black skirt. Bejeweled gold hoop earrings and a delicate diamond pendant necklace finished her look with a subtle shine.
Danielle Brooks glittered at “CNN Heroes” in a dark green dress with an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, which flowed into long sleeves and a floor-length skirt. The “Color Purple” star’s ensemble — which was coated in shimmering sequins for a burst of glamour — was complete with light-catching diamond earrings for a dash of added sparkle.
Alexa Swinton chicly arrived to the ceremony in a pair of glossy black pumps, accented by small bows. The “And Just Like That…” actress’ heels were smoothly streamlined by sheer black tights and a mock-neck top, layered beneath a spotted white skirt suit. Swinton’s look was glamorously complete with gleaming gold hoop earrings, as well as a two-toned mini Larr handbag by Alzúarr.
Brooke Shields made a sharp statement at “CNN Heroes” in a black sequined floor-length dress, smoothly layered beneath a silk-lapeled black overcoat. A bejeweled star necklace, diamond-covered hoop earrings and a mirrored bar clutch completed the model’s ensemble. Shields was also joined at the occasion by daughter Grier Hammond Henchy, who matched her mom in black patent heels with a strapless silk dress, gold hoop earrings and a shiny silver watch.
