Both Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Queen Letizia of Spain wore timeless pointed pumps at a ceremony welcoming the Spanish royals at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam on Wednesday. While Queen Letizia slipped on beige slingbacks, Maxima went with a vibrant cherry red style.
Earlier this month, the Spanish royal stepped out in sleek burgundy kitten heels boasting a pointed toe with a subtle square tip at the National Sports Awards. The shoes matched her leather pants seamlessly. Known for favoring vibrant styles, Queen Letizia wore fuschia slingback pumps at the Gold Medals of Merit in Fine Arts on April 3. Meanwhile, Queen Maxima was the one to wear beige stilettos at the Four Freedom Award Ceremony on April 11.
The welcome ceremony for Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI of Spain’s two-day state visit to the Netherlands took place at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam in Dam Square.

About the shoes
Queen Letizia wore a pair of Carolina Herrera slingback pumps featuring beige leather uppers and a mid-sized stiletto heel. She has donned the same minimalist style by the Venezuelan fashion designer on other occasions previously. As for Queen Maxima, she showed off red leather Gianvito Rossi’s signature Gianvito stiletto pumps. The colorful shoes, which coordinated with the rest of her look, were complete with a heel measuring just over 4 inches.
