Queen Camilla visited the Royal Lancers in Catterick, Eng., on Monday, wearing her favorite Russell & Bromley boots.
The queen consort was joined by Colonel Richard Charrington as she inspected the Royal Lancers. This is her first visit to the military unit since she was appointed as Colonel-in-Chief last June. After being greeted by 152 lined-up soldiers, the queen made a speech in which she quoted her father’s memoir, Previous Engagements, to recognize his previous affiliation with the regiment during World War II.
Since King Charles announced his postponement of public engagements, Queen Camilla has stepped up as a regular face for royal duties. On several occasions, she’s been seen in these black boots. Earlier this month, she slipped into the pair for the Easter Service at Windsor Castle. Last month, she was seen sporting the boots during a visit to Knotts Bakery in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The beige boots she wore to the Royal Maundy Service at Worcester Cathedral on March 28 were strikingly similar to this pair.
Queen Camilla specifically slipped into Russell & Bromley’s Dressage boots. The black heels featured a suede upper with an almond toe and side zipper closure. The knee-high boots’ sleeves created a ruched look around the ankle. The set was completed by a short block heel that added about 2” of height.
Her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton is also a fan of the brand and this set in particular.
Russell & Bromley has specialized in luxury footwear and handbags since 1880. Its’ sophisticated silhouettes are now easily recognized because of its craftsmanship and innovative design. While the British brand has expanded throughout the U.K., it is still run and owned by the Bromley family, specifically led by Roger Bromley, great-grandson of the founder.
