Queen Camilla was dressed in royal blue for day one of the Royal Ascot 2024 on Tuesday, rounding out the bold ensemble with a beige suede heel. The annual racing event held in England is known not only for the competition it’s centered around but also the elegant fashion on display.
Joined by her husband, King Charles III, the queen consort attended the event wearing a bright blue pleated jacket that cinched at the waist and fell to her ankles. She paired the garment with a slanted brimmed hat in the same shade of cobalt blue. To complement his wife’s outfit, King Charles III wore a blue tie and pocket square that picked up her mostly monochrome aesthetic.
Queen Camilla opted for a pump in a subtle shade of beige. The shoes included a low heel and followed the classic design of a pump, which is enclosed around the front and back. The light tan color offered a neutral accompaniment to her otherwise brightly colored outfit.
Queen Camilla is often spotted in this type of shoe. She also wore beige suede pumps while attending the UK’s national event commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day. For that occasion, she paired the neutral shoes with a light pink jacket. Elsewhere, she wore a patent leather tan pair of pumps while at Ladies Day at Epsom Downs Racecourse in May. At the Buckingham Palace Garden Party earlier this spring, she opted for a pair of vintage Chanel heels which were off white with a black toe.
