Queen Camilla attended The Braemar Gathering 2024 at The Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park yesterday in Braemar, Scotland. King Charles III also attended.
The royal attended the celebratory Scottish event in a pair of caramel-colored pumps. The classic style featured glossy brown leather uppers that transitioned into squared toes and short block heels that offered Camilla a subtle boost in height.
The footwear pick is not unlike the Queen’s favorite Maryam Nassir Zadeh kitten heels which she’s worn on multiple occasions. The style of footwear is commonplace for the royal. When wearing heels, Camilla often gravitates toward age-appropriate shoe silhouettes fitted with short heels that provide a cushioned and walkable boost. Top brands like Ralph Lauren, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik and Schutz also offer caramel-colored styles that can be likened to Camilla’s own.
On theme for the gathering, the royal sported a navy dress fixed with a feather-centric print inspired by common hunting Scottish motifs. Additionally, Camilla donned a brown beret adorned with what looked to be a pheasant feather which is said to be symbolic of imagination and creativity. The game animal is native to Asia but was introduced into much of Europe by the Romans, possibly arriving in the UK with the Normans in the 11th century.

Renowned globally, the Braemar Gathering is the most famous of the Highland Games. Every year on the first Saturday in Sept. in the small village Braemar, the Scottish tradition gathers major crowds of visitors. With a history spanning nearly two centuries, the traditional gathering is one of Scotland’s most celebrated events.
Some of the footwear styles Camilla has frequently worn include Sole Bliss and Chanel’s block-heeled pumps in a range of neutral, navy and pink tones over the years for formal occasions. The queen is also a lover of suede styles of all kinds, much like other royal family women.
