The Ever-Changing Shoe Style of Priscilla Presley: From Go-Go Boots to Gothic Heels
Priscilla Presley has always had an iconic closet full of stylish clothes and shoes.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 24, 1945, Priscilla shot to fame at 14 years old when she met famed singer Elvis Presley in Germany at a house party in 1959. Although her parents didn’t approve of their relationship at first, they eventually came around, and Elvis continued seeing Priscilla until he left Germany in March 1960. Priscilla’s parents let her move to Graceland in 1963 and the pair married in 1967. They welcomed daughter Lisa Marie exactly nine months later on Feb. 1, 1968.
Although Priscilla and Elvis’ marriage ended in 1973, the public’s obsession with Priscilla and her style continued to grow. Today, she is still recognized for her fashion-forward looks. From platform shoes to stylish heels and boots, Priscilla has covered every look for every decade.

Sandals in the 70s
Priscilla chose a flat sandal when Lisa Marie was a toddler for an afternoon of lounging around. The shoe had a denim blue-colored strap around the back ankle with a gold buckle for closure and one over the arch of the foot, matching her dark denim jeans and blue and white striped tank top seamlessly. The sole of the shoe was a darker color.
Gothic and Edgy
In 2011, Priscilla went for more of a Gothic look, pairing black, glossy, pointed-toe boots with her ensemble. The style is simple and classic but supports an edgier overall look with her all-black, Bohemian-styled outfit with a long, chunky silver cross finish.
Go-Go Girl
Priscilla styled a platform pair of open-toe, rounded silver shoes with an embellished pair of patched flare jeans, a highly-fashionable trend in the 60s and 70s. The outfit had a matching tie and jacket with a fur finish near the collar for a shopping trip in Beverly Hills.
Sophisticated New Mom
It isn’t every day you see a new mom leaving the hospital after delivering a baby with perfectly done hair and make-up in leather pumps, but not every mom is Priscilla Presley. The 22-year-old at the time wore an almond-toe shaped pair of low heels in a skirt and matching collared top in Memphis after having her daughter with her husband Elvis by her side.
Touches of Detail
The actress loves details on her shoes and within her outfit, and a premiere in 2015 was no exception. The 73-year-old chose a black pair of pumps with a rounded metallic silver toe box to walk the black carpet. Presley wore a black dress with a white lace top over her outfit, which was tied at the top with a matching black bow to pull it all together.
Cool for the Summer
Priscilla chose a chunky, wooden block heel for a chat with photographer Ron Galella, who frequently took pictures of the actress and Elvis. With her hair curled loosely and perfectly, her peep-toe, leather shoes have an opening for her toes to breathe and a heel measuring approximately 2.5 inches. She kept it cool for the backyard meeting in a floral dress.
Like Mother and Like Daughter
Priscilla opted for a pair of white western leather boots for a shopping trip in New York City with daughter Lisa Marie. The shoes had a rounded-toe area and a thick, wooden block square heel measuring approximately 1.5 inches. The outfit paired well with her dark denim jeans with detailing on the pockets, and her daughter ran out of the car next to her, also in a pair of black boots.
