Pharrell Williams was spotted leaving the gymnastics finals of the 2024 Olympic Games held in Paris yesterday. Nadia Comneci and John John Travolta were also in attendance.
The multi-hyphenated star turned up to the event in chunky Adidas sneakers. Little is known about the footwear Williams has been spotted in on numerous occasions now given that the model hasn’t been released yet.
The most similar style Adidas has currently released to Williams is the Response CL style in gray and orange. Some have speculated that the rapper’s pair are collaborative, designed by him. Given Williams’ has a long-standing collaborative history with Adidas, the hypothesis isn’t all that far-fetched.
In any case, the “Happy” singer’s pair featured a unique white, gray, black and neon orange color scheme with mesh and leather uppers and lace-up closures. The silhouette is retro-inspired, harkening back to the chunky dad sneaker trend that swept the fashion and footwear scenes for many years. The style is likened to styles that took over the scene in the 90s and 2010s inspired by streetwear and Hip-Hop culture. Flexible non-slip rubber soles rounded out the set.

A master of casual cool dressing, the producer sported a chocolate brown crew neck accompanied by Louis Vuitton monogrammed shorts. Earlier in the Olympic games, Louis Vuitton’s creative director Williams was a part of the opening ceremony’s Torch Relay alongside French model and actress Laetitia Casta. The rapper wore a pair of trainers that were most likely from his brand.
The sneakers featured an embossed grain calf leather upper, alongside an exterior that included a white design rounded out by green, black and blue accents, and white laces as the finisher. Carrying the famed torch, he opted for a white long-sleeve shirt that matched the one worn by Casta, and a pair of white basketball shorts.
