Patina Miller, the stylish queen of Queens, is back this week with a new season of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” and promoting the show wearing
The third installment of the “Power” franchise is returning with Season Four on March 7, so Miller and her cast mates have been making the press rounds to talk about and promote the latest season of the popular Starz series. And to go in line with her stylish character on the show, she has been showcasing some chic looks and stepping out in some fashion-forward footwear.
Miller attended a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden earlier this week alongside “Power” franchise producer 50 Cent, who also starred in the original “Power” as a grown up Kanan Stark. Miller’s costar Mekai Curtis, who plays her son and younger version of the character on “Raising Kanan,” was also in attendance at the NBA game.
Miller’s courtside style was relaxed, chic and feminine. She paired pearl-embellished jeans, a crisp white T-shirt, and a cropped leather jacket, with a pair of metallic silver high heeled pumps from Betzábe. She opted for the brand’s Thalia design, which is a pump silhouette, metallic silver body, pointed toe and a 100mm heel.
The Thalia pump retails for $895. Betzábe is owned by footwear designer, Betzábe Gonzalez who was born in in Guadalajara, Mexico, who launched the luxury footwear brand in 2023.
The Hollywood Reporter also shared snippets of a panel they did with Miller, Curtis and their costar Tony Danza during this year’s Sundance Film Festival. For the panel, the actress, who was styled by Eliza Yerry, wore a plaid check-pattern blazer by Dorothee Schumacher over a black turtleneck dress.
For shoes, she opted for a pair of Larroude‘s black leather boots in the Brazilian designer’s Kate style. The Kate boot comes in different silhouettes including thigh highs and knee-high boots. The pull up boots are made of shiny kid skin leather, and feature a closed pointed toe and a 3.8 inch stiletto heel. They retail for $500.
Miller’s character’s style on “Raising Kanan” is a much talked about aspect of the series. The show is a prequel to “Power” and follows a young Kanan as he navigates the world of glamour and grit as he comes into his own and gets out of the shadow of his mother, Raq, who runs the streets of Southside Jamaica, Queens, as its biggest and most dangerous queenpin.
Raq’s fashion choices are true to the early 1990s style of New York City, and since much of the show takes place in the winter, she is often in thigh high boots and stilettos. The first episode of “Raising Kanan” Season Four is now streaming on Starz.
