Oprah Winfrey hosted a special event to promote “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” a new Paramount + series from the creator of “Yellowstone,” Taylor Sheridan. The Friday party was held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles.
Winfrey arrived in a body-con dress that featured a side slit, favoring her shoes.
For footwear, Winfrey donned a pair of Brunello Cucinelli‘s kitten heel booties, which featured a textured leather upper, pointed toe and a zip closure.
Winfrey was joined by her best friend, Gayle King, who wore a coral midi dress with a colorful necklace at the event. For shoes, King slipped on a pair of gold peep-toe pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti.
Lupita Nyong’o joined the celebration wearing a Prada look, comprised of a black denim crop top and matching pants. She added a textured puffer jacket and glossy platform boots to complete her look.
Another star in attendance was Niecy Nash, who dressed up in a sparkling black suit covered in crystals by Nadine Merabi. She carried a Yves Saint Laurent bag and slipped into black pumps.
The “Lawmen: Bass Reeves” Season One premiered on Paramout+ on Nov. 5. The show, starring David Oyelowo, follows the story of Reeves, one of the greatest frontier heroes and one of the first Black deputy U.S. marshals west of the Mississippi River. Dennis Quaid and Tony winner Joaquina Kalukango are also in the cast.
It’s been a busy year for Oprah Winfrey, who is the producer behind “The Color Purple.” Directed by Blitz Bazawule, the film will hit the theaters on Dec. 25.
