Omari Hardwick is playing who wore it better. The “Power” alum appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” for a chat.
For the appearance, Hardwick wore an orange suit from the brand Gray. The single-button suit was previously worn by Morris Chestnut to the 2025 Golden Globes, and it includes a peak lapel. Both wore the suit wearing a button down shirt and a tie of the same color.
For shoes, Hardwick chose an archival style. The shoes are from Prada’s Fall 2016 collection. The brown shoes include a decorative black leather kiltie on the top of the shoe. Atop the kiltie is a dark brown monk strap with a gold buckle. The shoe is a derby shoe with a round toe. They also appear to include either laces or tassels under the strap.
The shoes include a stacked heel and rubber sole. Originally the shoes sold for $1,250 on outlets like Mr. Porter. They can still be found in the second-hand market.
The style is more adventurous than current popular trends. It combines a variety of details where many shoes today focus on one. Many men are choosing either boots or some type of loafer or oxford shoe. They are often simple lace-up styles or slip ons. Take Will Smith who wore a pair of tan suede Christian Louboutin slip on loafers this week. They feature a simple silver pin at the vamp.
Others like Colman Domingo have reached for Valentino’s ballet flat. Others, like Pedro Pascal’s Saint Laurent thigh-highs, have chosen boots from a variety of brands.
As what has now become expected, Hardwick was welcomed by the talk show’s team with a song and dance backstage. The actor made his way down the Happy Place hallway as the staff sang to him. He was on the show to talk about his Grammy nomination. He was nominated in the Best Spoken Word Poetry Album category in 2025 for his a spoken word album “cOncrete & wHiskey.”
The actor shared photos from the appearance on Instagram and captioned it: “Was an absolute pleasure to get some real hang time with you, my multitalented friend. Thank you J Hud & your special @jenniferhudsonshow team for ALL the vibes & ALL the love.”
