Olympic rugby medalist IIona Maher made an appearance at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 60th anniversary event with Maybelline in a pair of pointed-toe pumps and a black dress.
Serving a monochromatic look, the pumps were constructed with patent leather material and emphasized by their sharp, triangular design. Supported with a closed-back, the silhouette was rounded out by a stiletto heel estimated to be in-between 4-to-5 inches in height, which is typical of the heels Maher has been wearing on “Dancing With the Stars.”
Completing her outfit was a black off-the-shoulder minidress that emphasized her athletic legs. Wearing her hair in a pulled back style, the athlete accessorized her look with dangling earrings and a classic makeup look with neutral eyeshadow and a red lip. While pointed pumps have been a very popular choice for celebrities and influencers alike in the year 2024 courtesy of their timeless design and versatility.

In fact, quite a few celebrities have been spotted wearing them in recent weeks. Last week, Jennifer Hudson got into the holiday spirit in a red dress and matching red pumps while hosting music legend Andrea Bocelli while hosting “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” The pumps were a major highlight of her outfit as they were crafted with crimson red suede material, and emphasized by a triangular design in the upper. The shoes also featured a skimpy-strapped slingback with pointy toes and a sharp, stiletto 3 inch heel, which were in-line with her previous appearances and footwear preferences.
Actress Laura Dern was also spotted earlier this week at the Saban Community Clinic’s 48th Annual Gala in a pair of Prada’s satin cut-out pumps. Those shoes were crafted with a glossy satin material, and featured an elaborate triangular design in the upper that was emphasized by its criss-cross design. The pumps curved as they reached the mid-foot region giving the illusion of having cut outs on the side and were embellished by a jeweled ornament and silver metal buckle.
