North West’s Coolest Shoe Moments, So Far: From Balenciaga Crocs to Dolce & Gabbana Boots

At just 11 years old, the oldest child of “The Kardashians” star and the veteran rapper has curated a fashion sense all her own — and she loves to rock a bold shoe to go along with her stylish looks. Ranging from glamorous to grunge aesthetics, the budding performer and certified fashionista has worn a variety of silhouettes from across the footwear industry and has had access to some of the best designers in the shoe and sneaker game.

In Paris for haute couture week in 2022, West and her mother both wore all-black ensembles for an outing in the city of light. Leaning into a distressed emo aesthetic, West complemented a graphic T-shirt and ripped jeans with a pair of oversized Crocs made in collaboration with Balenciaga. The shoes feature a chunky platform and a silver nameplate on the front, in addition to other edgy silver detailing.
West went with a black color scheme again when she joined her mother at the Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards, pairing a black suit with platform Dolce & Gabbana boots. The shoes featured a zipper along the upper and a silver DG logo on the front of the toe.
Proving yet again she likes a chunky black shoe, West was seen beside her mother the day of the 2023 Met Gala. She contrasted her blush colored tweed jacket and light was jeans with the dark shoes, which featured a ridged sole and laces.
Not long after the Met Gala in 2023, West and Kardashian attended an NBA game where both showed off a sporty side to their fashion. Kardashian wore a T-shirt referencing the Lakers while West was dressed in a yellow and black racing jacket, which she paired with distressed jeans and black Nike sneakers with a shiny Swoosh. On this occasion, West proved how a casual shoe can blend to exude a sense of coolness.
