Noelia Voigt of Utah took home the title of Miss USA at the 72nd Miss USA Pagent held at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino’s Grand Theatre yesterday in Reno Tahoe, Nev. The competition was broadcast live and showcased 51 accomplished women, each representing one of the 50 states as well as the District of Columbia.
Each pageant contestant competed in various segments including Interviews, Swimsuit Competition, Evening Gown, Final Question and Final Look. Ultimately, the annual event concluded with Miss USA 2022 Morgan Romano of North Carolina crowning Voight as her successor.
Voigt, who is half-Venezuelan and a Florida native, was crowned in a bright yellow floor-length gown featuring a high neckline and nude cutout detailing all across the bodice. The dress was dappled with high-shine crystals and sequin detailing, making for an impactful look on and off stage. For footwear, Voigt elevated her looks with a pair of strappy sandals that featured a platform and block heels reaching at least 5 inches.
Voigt is the third woman from Utah to win Miss USA, 63 years after its last win in 1960.
“I am honored to be in this space with the most elite State Queens in all the world! I cannot wait to highlight the passion that they pour into their platforms,” said Laylah Rose President/CEO of the Miss USA & Teen USA Organization. “They are making waves and impacts in their communities and states and I’m so proud of all of them, truly. This organization was made for them, and that is exactly what I’m here to do- highlight them in a space they were meant to shine in. They are Queens with hearts of gold from the inside out.”
The Miss USA pageant was hosted by Keltie Knight and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, with a judging pane including Beauty entrepreneur and founder of One/Size Beauty Patrick Starrr, fashion designer Nicole Miller, actress Vivica A. Fox and model Emina Cunmulaj Nazarian.
