Nicole Richie glamorously coordinated with the “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” premiere’s black carpet in all-black, including black leather pointed-toe stilettos, on Tuesday at The Grove in Los Angeles.
Richie’s classic black pumps featured an approximately 3-inch stiletto.
Richie was accompanied by her family, including dad Lionel Richie, mother Brenda Harvey-Richie, husband Joel Madden and their children Harlow and Sparrow, who showed their support in coordinated black looks.
Madden and their kids opted for black sneakers with white soles, and Lionel Richie chose white kicks.
Nicole Richie plays Rose in the ’90s film reboot, an entrepreneurial woman who employs 17-year-old Tanya, played by Simone Joy Jones, in the black comedy directed by Wade Allain-Marcus. The movie will be released in cinemas on April 12 and will later stream on BET+, who produced it. The original cult-classic came out in 1991 and starred Christina Applegate and Joanna Cassidy.
The jewelry designer and actor’s style could be described as classic glam. Black pointed-toe pumps, like the ones she wore at the premiere, are a red carpet favorite of hers. She launched her first shoe collection in 2010 through her House of Harlow label, which primarily sells jewelry. In 2019, House of Harlow collaborated with Raye the Label on a shoe collection featuring auburn satin slides, mesh pointed-toe flats and chunky heeled red and mesh sandals. House of Harlow has also collaborated with Revolve on shoes and clothing.
Pumps are a classic women’s shoe style that has remained a red carpet favorite for its versatility and elegance. Pointed-toe pumps with a slim stiletto are a popular variation of the shoe, and have increased in popularity in recent years, thanks to pointy toes coming back into trend after their heyday in the ’80s and ’90s. You can find pointed-toe pumps from prestigious designers, including Manolo Blahnik, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Gianvito Rossi and Balenciaga.
