Lady Whistledown herself has been spotted in London.
“Bridgerton” star Nicola Coughlan stepped out on June 11 in white high-heeled sandals and a white dress to promote the Netflix series on BBC Radio 1.
The Irish actress, who takes the lead in Season Three opposite Luke Newton, was out and about in the city dressed in an ankle-length off-white knit dress that was mostly obscured by a long gray khaki coat. She accessorized the chic outfit with a large white matching tote and a white ring in addition to silver earrings. While her character has red waves in “Bridgerton,” Coughlan has been sporting blonde hair in real life.
Coughlan opted for a unique pair of summery shoes. The thong sandals included a narrow stiletto heel and thick straps; the base of the shoe had a rounded square shape in the front. The design was a modern and elevated take on the flip-flop, the quintessential footwear of the summer season.
Coughlan has been promoting “Bridgerton” for several months now, with the first part of Season Three debuting on May 16 and the second part set to release on June 13. In the new season, Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington — aka Lady Whistledown — sees her relationship with Colin Bridgerton finally move off the back burner.

Coughlan has looked as stylish as ever while interfacing with the press, having recently worn a glamorous pair of translucent Christian Louboutin heels at the Toronto premiere for Season 3 Part 2. She also wore an elegant pair of black satin Malone Souliers sandals at the Australia premiere in April.
