Leaving the 19th-century clothes on set, Nicola Coughlan of “Bridgerton” fame shined on the 2024 Emmys red carpet on Sept. 15 in a sequined silver gown with modern flair, which she paired with matching metallic platform heels.
Coughlan, who took center stage in “Bridgerton” Season 3, opted for a glimmering gown covered in silver sequins which created a mirror-like effect designed by Prabal Gurung. She was styled by Aimée Croysdill. The dress featured off-the-shoulder straps and a structured design in which the fabric gathered at the waist then widened into a stiff bell-shaped skirt that hit the mid-thigh area. Underneath this was a flowing floor-length skirt with a much narrower silhouette.
For her footwear, Coughlan created a monochrome aesthetic with silver peep-toe platforms. The shoes featured a D’Orsay design which left the side of the foot exposed; a relatively thick band stretched across the toes while a slender strap wrapped around the ankle. The shoes were enclosed in the back, which offered a level of security. The shoes featured not only a soaring block heel but a sizable platform in front.
Coughlan was in the public eye promoting “Bridgerton” earlier this year in a slew of noteworthy outfits. Memorably, she wore black Malone Souliers sandals with a glamorous bejeweled black gown at the Season 3 premiere in April. For the Toronto premiere of Season 3 Part 2, she paired embellished Christian Louboutin sandals with a whimsically modern outfit including a blue minidress and a voluminous satiny red cape.
