Nicky Hilton took a chic approach to daytime dressing while running errands in New York City.
On Thursday, Hilton was spotted out and about in Manhattan after a shopping trip to Philip Lim’s SoHo boutique. For the occasion, the FNAA Award-winning heiress slipped on a pair of her namesake collection’s French Sole flats: the Tessa, a $188 round-toed style crafted from smooth beige leather.
Hilton’s flats were covered in delicate laser-cut perforations mimicking geometric flowers, with beige bows topping each toe for a feminine flourish. The set added a ventilated, yet feminine base to her equally summer-worthy outfit: a puff-sleeved maxi dress, which featured blue and white paneling covered in an intricate floral pattern. Neckline smocking completed the piece with a romantic, faintly bohemian spin.
Hilton opted to pair her tiered outfit with equally versatile, lightweight accessories: a woven raffia brimmed hat and small woven handbag, providing a simple complement to the dress’ detailed patterns.
The “365 Style” author’s flats were the latest celebrity spotting within the practical shoe’s rising fame this summer. Flats have regained popularity for their easy wear, lightweight fit and wide range of materials and colors in recent months, providing styles that suit a wide range of tastes. Classic neutral styles, as well as embellished and jewel-toned iterations, have populated collections from brands like Stuart Weitzman, Kate Spade and Everlane. Others, including Khaite and Sandy Liang, have opted for the experimental approach with styles made in fully sheer fabrics or crafted from woven mesh.
When it comes to shoes, Hilton’s styles are glamorous and chic, with a nod to her Y2K years first in the spotlight. The star often favors pointed-toe and platform pumps in neutral tones by Valentino, Chanel and Dior. Her red carpet looks feature similar styles embellished with bows and crystals by Mach & Mach, Giannico and Rene Caovilla. When it comes to off-duty dressing, Hilton wears sharp flats from her own French Sole line, as well as Adidas sneakers.
