Naomi Osaka Wears Havva Western Boots at 2024 GQ Men of the Year Party

Naomi Osaka left her tennis shoes at home for a night out in Los Angeles on Nov. 15, donning a pair of cowboy boots from U.K-based brand Havva to attend GQ’s 2024 Men of the Year Party. The star-studded, western-themed event was hosted by honorees Dwayne Johnson, Pharrell Williams and John Mulaney.

Osaka embraced the theme with a formal take on cowboy fashion. She wore a pair of wide-leg black trousers with a white button-down accented by a loose tie in a black leather-like material. The athlete also wore a wide-brimmed black hat atop her thigh-length braids and further accessorized with silver hoop earrings. Her intricate manicure also made a statement.

For her footwear, Osaka slipped on a pair of boots hailing from the brand Havva, founded by brother-sister pair Havva and Ali Mustafa. She specifically wore the Netto Texas boot in tan suede, which retails for $575. The shoes feature an ankle-length shaft with embroidery and pull-tabs on each side. A boost is provided by a 3.3-inch block heel angled inward, while the toe sloping up slightly in classic cowboy boot fashion.

Osaka competed in the U.S. Open back in August, during which she modeled a custom Nike ensemble including bow-adorned sneakers and a ruffly kit, both featuring a lime green hue. She was involved in the creation of her on-court look alongside Nike and designer Yoon Ahn. In addition to being a Nike athlete, Osaka is an ambassador for Tag Heuer; she appeared at the company’s boutique on 5th Avenue in August wearing a pair of platform sandals.
