After playing Joan Baez in “A Complete Unknown,” Monica Barbaro is picking up a Virtuosos Award. The actor was honored on Sunday alongside a list of stars like Selena Gomez and Mikey Madison at the event during Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
For the big moment, Barbado chose a floral print Marni set. The spaghetti strap top included a matching bubble skirt. She was styled by Jeanann Williams.
For shoes, Barbado wore a pair of Condora Strap heels from Christian Louboutin. The shoes are made of leather and feature a molded toe, inspired by a bird’s beak. The footwear also has a lowcut vamp that exposes a bit of toe cleavage.
To flatter the foot, the Condora strap is a slingback design that exposes the back of the foot. There’s also an ankle strap for security. This is all set on a beveled heel of almost four inches. The sole is red, as has been a standard from Louboutin since 1992.
The shoe has been popping up on a few celebrities over the past year. Keke Palmer wore the Condora Strap in red last month at a screening for “One of Them Days.” Nicole Kidman also wore it in white for an October premiere of “Lioness.” This came amongst a greater wearing of the Condora series: Demi Moore wore the T-strap Condora Riviera a few times in black suede before Reese Witherspoon picked the brown suede and Cailee Spaeny wore the Condora Queen Plume to W Magazine’s Golden Globes pre-party.
The luxury footwear company appears to have noticed. While many are discussing the new Miss Z series as well as the ballet pointe shoe-inspired Cassia, the brand has also recently launched the O Condora. This shoe is a more classic slingback sandal — without the ankle strap — and includes the typical beveled heel that the other Condora versions have.
