Mindy Kaling attended a screening of the Oscar-nominated short film “Anuja” held on Feb. 11 at Netflix’s Los Angeles office. Kaling is one of the film’s producers. The 22-minute film is available for viewing now on the streaming platform.
For the special occasion, the “Inside Out” star relied on the classics in a pair of fall 2024 Santoni black leather stiletto heels. The chosen pair included lush black leather calfskin uppers with a shiny finish accompanied by triangular toes adorned with geometric gold accents that featured the brand’s logo. Leather outsoles gave way to 4-inch stiletto heels that offered Kaling a substantial boost in height.
The gold accents featured throughout the heel silhouette created contrast by breaking up the all-black uppers. Additionally, the gold provided a welcomed eye-catching shine. Black pumps are a must-have for many celebrities, given the shoe’s versatility. Tiffany Haddish, La La Anthony, Hailey Bieber, Kate Middleton, Ciara and Tyra Banks are just a few stars who have been spotted in black pumps as of late.
Bringing all the drama, the “Ocean’s Eight” actress donned a daring set from Balmain. The two-piece was crafted of a dainty black lace fabric that juxtaposed the tailored cut and black colorway. Additional details included a high neckline and ornate gold button closures that ran down the front of the dress. As for accessories, Kaling wore a Khatie belt with gold hardware and a black leather strap along with Misho jewelry and a Roger Vivier bag.
Kaling never shies away from a bold look, often wearing ensembles with bright colors, glamorous textures and joyful prints from brands including Oscar de la Renta, Retrofete and Tory Burch. The “Mindy Project” creator’s optimistic wardrobe also features an array of colorful sandals and pumps from designers like Stuart Weitzman, Christian Louboutin and Sophia Webster. When off-duty, she can also be spotted in Hoka One One sneakers, Adidas slides and Kate Spade sandals.
