Millie Bobby Brown and stylist Ryan Young have been in love with retro styles while on the press tour for her latest film “The Electric Slate.” After a series of red carpet premieres and award shows, the performer is now on the press circuit, doing television interviews. On Tuesday, she sat down with the hosts on “The Today Show.”
For that appearance, she wore a black and white top and mini-skirt with a black furry jacket. In addition, she wore a black beret and semi-sheer tights.
For shoes, Brown chose Larroude‘s Emma shoe. The heel is a black leather Mary Jane style and boasts the over-the-arch strap that is integral to a Mary Jane silhouette. That strap is fastened by a gold-tone round buckle. In many other ways, the court shoe is a classic Mary Jane featuring a rounded toe and made of soft box leather. Most notably though, the shoe, which are handmade in Brazil, boasts a thick platform of 1.6 inches. This boosts the 4.5 inch block heel. There is also a memory foam cushion sole for comfort.
Larroude sells its Emma Mary Jane pump for $350.
Larroude was founded in 2020 by namesake Marina Larroude, a former fashion director. In 2023, the company had racked up $30 million in sales and in 2024 the company won the Footwear News Achievement Awards Brand of the Year title — the company was set to double its year over year sales then. The likes of Kerry Washington, Blue Ivy Carter, Selena Gomez, Salma Hayek and Taylor Swift have all since become fans.
Brown has been wearing retro looks and shoes quite a bit recently. A few weeks ago while in London, the actress wore an all print look included a pair of wedge heels. In addition, before that, she channeled the 90s in a pair of white Amina Muaddi Mary Jane heels called the Charlotte.
