As the face of Gucci’s latest campaign, Miley Cyrus celebrated summer with the luxury label with an event at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Other stars were in attendance including Salma Hayek, Kendall Jenner and the singer’s mother Trish Cyrus.
The “We Can’t Stop” singer attended the event wearing a black wrap minidress. The long sleeve piece featured a deep v-neckline which exposed a lace bralette. She solely accessorized with an oversized gold choker.
Cyrus completed the look with Gucci’s Strappy Sandal. The black heels featured a patent leather upper with two thin straps that laid against the almond toe and another set that created a criss cross ankle design that connected to a knot detail on the side. The set brought height to the look with a stiletto heel that was about 4 inches tall. The shoes come in two neutral colors, making them a versatile option that can be paired with any look. The heels currently retail for $1,090.
Strappy sandals are a staple shoe during the summer months because of its ability to compliment a look that showcases the legs like rompers or minidresses. The barely-there style is especially popular among stars like Poppy Delevingne, Chrissy Teigen and Rita Ora, who graced the carpet at the “Descendants: The Rise Of Red” premiere earlier this month wearing a pair from the luxury shoe label Jimmy Choo.
Gucci’s legacy in the footwear industry has stemmed since the fashion house was founded in Florence, Italy in 1921. The brand’s most famous shoe silhouettes include the Horsebit loafer and Ace sneakers. Through collaborations, the brand’s iconic monogram print has gone outside their usual collections and taken over other staple footwear styles like Balenciaga’s Triple S Sneaker and Adidas Gazelle.
