Michael B. Jordan and his longtime stylist Jason Bolden are teaching a master class on how a leading man should be styled for a movie press tour. Ahead of the release of the upcoming thriller “Sinners,” Jordan has hit the press circuit wearing the latest designs from Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton and more—making his shoes a focal point of his ensembles.
For an upcoming appearance on the “Sherri” daytime talk show, which was filmed in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood on April 2, Jordan and his style collaborator called on Jacquemus to create a chic, masculine and sleek look.
The actor looked sharp in a crisp white The Scala polo shirt from the brand. The crocodile-embossed polo has a relaxed fit, a V-neck polo collar, and a black decorative corozo button with a crocodile pattern. For his trousers, he opted for the Fernando pleated buttoned pants. The black pants are high-rise, pleated from the waist and are made from wool suiting fabric.
They feature a curved wide leg, belt loops including the brand’s “J” loop, a fly made out of three visible buttons, side-seam pockets and a back pocket with a buttoned flap. Both the shirt and trousers are from the Jacquemus La Croisière collection.
With that look, he wore the Jacquemus Woven Derby Shoes, also from the La Croisière collection. While the rounded-toe shoe appears to be a traditional derby, the braided, woven leather across the upper adds a modern twist to the classic design.
The shoes also feature waxed cotton laces, exposed hand-sewn topstitching, and the lining and insole are made with cowhide leather. The shoes also have an embossed logo on the insole. He kept his accessories simple, putting on small diamond hoop earrings, a black and gold ring and a gold Piaget Polo Watch.
Jordan, along with his “Sinners” costars Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, Miles Caton and Wunmi Mosaku, and director Ryan Coogler, talked to Sherri about their highly anticipated new film, which hits theaters on April 18.
The interview is part of the episode that is set to air on April 10, but you can watch a short clip from the interview above where Jordan discusses how starring in the film helped him overcome his fear of horror movies. Check out more looks and shoes from Jordan’s “Sinners” press tour below.
