Meghan Markle brought a chic take to bystander style during the 2023 Invictus Games.
While attending the athletic competition’s Wheelchair Basketball preliminary match with husband Prince Harry in Duesseldorf, Germany, on Wednesday, Markle stepped out in a pair of two-toned Chanel flats.
The “Suits” actress‘ close-toed style featured a rounded silhouette with slingback straps and thin soles. Her style was crafted from light tan leather with smooth black satin capped toes, bringing the practical shoe style a ladylike finish.
Markle’s sharp shoes leaned into summer’s current flats trend, which has seen slip-on ballet and slingback pairs rise in popularity from their practical silhouettes and light weight. Pairs have been released in a wide range of colors, finishes and materials from a variety of brands, including new drops hailing from labels like Dolce Vita, Sam Edelman and Sandy Liang.
The style added a chic base to the former royal’s attire at the tournament, which was equally streamlined: a lightweight white blazer with black trim and gold button accents, layered over a black top and white linen shorts. The trio was cinched with a gold-buckled leather belt and simply paired with a shiny gold watch, creating a dressy appearance for the occasion.

As previously stated, one of Markle’s go-to shoe styles is pointed-toe pumps, which she wears in neutral and tonal hues from Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Aquazzura and more top labels. When off-duty, her streamlined, versatile style also incorporates Valentino flats, Nike sneakers and Hunter boots.
