Meghan Markle lifted up a casual ensemble on Feb. 9 with a pair of block heel boots.
Markle was attending the wheelchair basketball game taking place on day one of the 2025 Invictus Games, a sporting event founding by her husband Prince Harry for wounded, injured and sick armed forces personnel, whether currently serving or veterans. The Invictus Games run this year from Feb. 8-16 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Markle stepped out on Sunday in a pair of boot cut jeans (a style that was well represented yesterday as Kendrick Lamar also wore a pair while headlining the Super Bowl LIX halftime show.) Unlike Lamar’s slouchy, light blue Celine pair, Markle’s jeans had a clean, sharp fit and were a dark blue hue. The wash of her pants blended with her cozy sapphire blue sweater, which featured a ribbed texture along the collar, hemline and the bottom of its sleeves. Her hair was worn back in a ponytail and her accessories included simple stud earrings, emphasizing her stylishly laidback aesthetic.
Markle’s jeans had a boot cut fit and the “Suits” alum indeed put on a pair of boots to accent her apparel. Wearing a black pair with an almond toe and a hefty block heel, the boots took her outfit to a slightly more formal realm, demonstrating the influence of a shoe. Potentially crafted with suede or an adjacent material, Markle’s boots looked to have a soft matte appearance.
When it comes to fashion, Markle often opts for classic colors like black, white, navy and beige and has on many occasions showcased the elegance of an understated design. Attending The Paley Gala in December, which honored her friend Tyler Perry, she dressed up in a black strapless gown and black Stuart Weitzman sandals, specifically a minimalist heeled style. She’s also, however, shown off bright colors and patterns through her wardrobe — while in Colombia in August, she wore a pair of magenta Manolo Blahnik pumps with a multi-colored floral skirt and a sleeveless white button down.
