Maya Rudolph made a case for boots on the red carpet at the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sept. 15, matching a pointed leather pair with a mauve gown to attend the event celebrating TV excellence.
Rudolph walked the red carpet in a floor-length dress with ruffles down the center and along the hem; with a flowing skirt and loose fit, the gown fell under the category of shift dress, a style which typically affords the wearer greater freedom of movement.
An ethereal sheer shawl also featured a frilled edge; the delicate layer contributed an air of elevated glamour to the ensemble. The “SNL” alum accessorized with chunky silver and gold reptilian-inspired jewelry and wore her hair in a wavy bob.
Rudolph accented the mauve dress with a pair of taupe leather boots. The gray-brown hue served as a neutral base to the ensemble while the shine of the leather made the outfit stand out further. The boots were crafted with a pointed toe, arched sole and a heel that gave Rudolph an additional lift. Together, the shoes and dress created a muted but warm color palette that aligned with the fall season we’re about to enter.
Rudolph appreciates an elegant dress with textured fabric. At the Patou spring 2025 show earlier this summer, she wore a light blue gown with puffy sleeves and material that ruched at the neck; her shoes that day were a pair of unique black leather pumps with criss-crossing straps and a bold white accent on the vamp which set the design apart.
