Mary J. Blige Pairs Bedazzled Red Jumpsuit With Fiery Bottega Veneta Boots at ‘For My Fans’ Tour Stop in Texas
Mary J. Blige turned up the heat in a dazzling red ensemble at her “For My Fans” tour stop in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend.
For footwear, she reached for a tried-and-true favorite, hitting the stage in slouchy thigh-high boots. Blige wore a red woven style courtesy of Bottega Veneta. This is not the first time the hip-hop icon has stepped out in the over-the-knee boots crafted in the brand’s signature Intrecciato woven leather.
Blige showed off a white version for an appearance at New York Fashion Week last September. The boots are designed with square toes, subtly curved 4-inch block heels, and non-slip soles that make them especially ideal for performing. The “Be Without You” hitmaker paired the bold boots with a bejeweled jumpsuit featuring a high neck and long sleeves that gave way to attached gloves.

Blige topped things off with a long red fur vest that added a certain oomph to her look. The dramatic, oversized vest featuring horizontal ribbing is a bespoke piece from Furry God Mother Custom Fur Apparel. The “Family Affair” singer accessorized her red-hot getup with chunky white hoop earrings and red-tinted aviator sunglasses with black rims.
Fans of Mary J. Blige will likely know her love of fabulous statement boots. Throughout her enduring career, the “Queen of R&B” has worn countless thigh-high styles from leading brands on and off stage. Blige even collaborated with Guiseppe Zanotti to launch a signature boot last May. The slouchy, mirrored rose gold boots, naturally dubbed The Mary Boot, sold out immediately upon release. In November, the brand released a white patent leather version of the thigh-high silhouette.

It could never be anything else.” She continued, “My fans have been waiting for a boot from me for a long time, so I knew when I did it, it had to be right.
