Mary J. Blige paid a visit to the SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday in New York. The “Family Affair” songstress appeared on the radio show to promote her new single “Still Believe in Love,” which will be available to stream on all platforms starting Friday.
For her appearance on the show, the hitmaker wore a whimsical pair of slouchy knee-high denim boots from Dolce & Gabbana. Blige’s footwear featured durable denim uppers made to look like a pair of light-wash jeans with faux pockets and silver button hardware transitioned into sharp pointed toes and distressed detailing.
Rounding out the set were what appeared to be 3 to 4-inch block heels that gave Blige an added boost in height.
Denim or not, knee-high boots of all kinds make for the perfect fall addition to any wardrobe. It can be dressed up or styled down for more casual occasions depending on what the pair is partnered with.
Going preppy, the “Just Fine” singer was outfitted in a cropped white and bright orange varsity jacket from Louis Vuitton featuring shearling puzzle piece detailing. The outerwear was worn overtop a sheer white monogrammed Fendi t-shirt layered overtop a coordinating white lace bralette. On the bottom, Blige sported high-waisted light-wash jeans, completing her denim-on-denim look.
Blige’s shoe style is often glamorous and bold. Known for her love of boots on and offstage, the “Good Morning Gorgeous” singer often wears styles in varying textures, heights and silhouettes from brands including Gucci, Christian Louboutin and Le Silla. Blige also wears boots on the red carpet, as well as platforms, pumps and stiletto sandals from labels including Aquazzura, Brian Atwood and Jimmy Choo.
In addition to her sleek footwear, Blige is a longtime star in the fashion and beauty industries, serving as a campaign star for brands including Dennis Basso, Timberland, Gold Bond and MAC over the years.
