Maria Sharapova attended an intimate dinner to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her first Wimbledon title yesterday in London. The event was hosted by Imran Amed, Founder & CEO of The Business of Fashion and Kristina Romanova, CEO of Aman Essentials.
For the celebratory gathering, Sharapova appeared to re-wear the style she’d sported during day three of the Wimbledon Championships 2024 the same day. The silhouette, likely from Burberry, featured slightly glossy plush leather uppers, this time in brown, along with geometric toes and 3.3-inch stiletto heels.
The former tennis star’s heels are similar to Baby 85, a Burberry style retailing for $870. If brown isn’t your thing, the British designer brand also carries a number of colorways including white, black, teal, pastel yellow and burgundy among a slew of others.
Simple and classic, Sharapova was styled in a collared long-sleeve blouse in white tucked into a green and silver mini skirt fixed with a unique print featuring chain and pin motifs. Both her top and skirt appeared to be from Burberry.
Aside from being known as one of the greatest tennis players on the court, it’s no secret that Sharapova has also scored points in the fashion department. When it comes to style, the Grand Slam winner has a penchant for chic and streamlined pieces. As for footwear, she tends to gravitate towards strappy sandals, pointed-toe silhouettes, embellished pumps and colorful kicks.
The 2024 Wimbledon Championships started on July 1 and will conclude on July 14. The event is one of the biggest tennis competitions of the year and will feature appearances from big names like David Beckham, Poppy Delevingne, Rebel Wilson, Dave Grohl, Princess Olympia, James Blake and Pink Pantheress, among many others. Last year, Carlos Alcaraz took home his first Wimbledon title on the men’s side, while Marketa Vondrousova won on the women’s side, securing her first Grand Slam victory.
