Maria Sharapova Pops in Wine-Colored Leather Pumps at Wimbledon Championships 2024 in London

Two decades following her Wimbledon victory, Maria Sharapova attended day three of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships 2024 on July 3 in a Burberry ensemble.
The former tennis star, who tagged Burberry in her social media during the event, attended as a guest in the Royal Box in a pair of wine-colored leather pumps appearing to be the Baby 85 style in “Poison” from Burberry. Retailing for $870, the designer style featured burgundy plush leather uppers in a slightly shiny style accompanied by geometric square toes, printed insoles and 3.3-inch stiletto heels.
The deep wine color of Sharapova’s footwear contrasted with the neutral tones in her ensemble, creating contrast. Similar styles to Sharapova’s shoes can be shopped from brands like Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Rachel Comey, The Row and Steve Madden, among others.
In a comfy and chic move, the Grand Slam winner wore a khaki-colored jumpsuit. The style was belted and featured utilitarian touches like a multitude of pockets, a collared neckline, tailored pleating and button closures. Additionally, Sharapova toted a green, yellow, white and black plaid mini bag with gilded pin detailing, also from Burberry.

Aside from being known as one of the greatest tennis players on court, it’s no secret that Sharapova has also scored points in the fashion department. When it comes to style, the Grand Slam winner has a penchant for chic and streamlined pieces. As for footwear, she tends to gravitate towards strappy sandals, pointed-toe silhouettes, embellished pumps and colorful kicks.
The 2024 Wimbledon Championships started on July 1 and will conclude on July 14. The event is one of the biggest tennis competitions of the year and will feature appearances from big names like David Beckham, Poppy Delevingne, Rebel Wilson, Dave Grohl, Princess Olympia, James Blake and Pink Pantheress, among many others. Last year, Carlos Alcaraz took home his first Wimbledon title on the men’s side, while Marketa Vondrousova won on the women’s side, securing her first Grand Slam victory.
