Lupita Nyong’o Sees Red In Lace Dress and Slingback Heels at 72th San Sebastian International Film Festival

Lupita Nyong’o was romantically dressed as she attended the San Sebastián International Film Festival on Sunday in Spain.
The Academy Award-winning actress matched the red carpet in a sheer lace Dolce & Gabbana dress that featured double spaghetti straps and a corset bodice. She accessorized with a pair of diamond studs and a black choker with an oversized red floral embellishment.
To complete the look, Nyong’o slipped into a pair of black sandals. The heels were composed of a leather upper and a slingback strap. The open-toe style brought height to the look with a stiletto heel that was about 4 inches tall.
The actress was styled by Micaela Erlanger, who can also be credited for the clear Gianvito Rossi Plexi pumps she wore to “The Wild Robot” photocall in Spain yesterday. The stylist also works with John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Julianna Margulies.
Nyong’o voices the main character, Roz, in DreamWorks’ new animated film. The robot adapts to its new surroundings and bonds with an orphaned gosling after being shipwrecked on a deserted island. Nyong’o was joined by her spanish co-stars Álvaro Morte and Macarena García at the film’s viewing at the annual event. The public will be able to view the movie when it is released in theaters on Sept. 27.
The San Sebastián International Film Festival hosts its 72nd celebration as one of the most prestigious and internationally recognized events in Spain. The festival will be hosted in the capital of Guipuzcoa province. The festival will run from Sept. 20 all the way through till Sept. 28. Other stars have already been spotted at this week’s festivities including Penélope Cruz and Cate Blanchett.
