Lucy Liu attended a special screening of “A Man in Full” in Los Angeles on Wednesday, wearing Aleví Milano heels.
The “Charlie’s Angels” actress arrived at the Tudum Theater to preview Netflix’s new drama series. In the film adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s novel, Liu plays Joyce Newman in the miniseries alongside Jeff Daniels, Diane Lane and Sarah Jones. Directed by Regina King, the storyline follows a real estate mogul Charlie Croker as he rebuilds his empire amidst bankruptcy. The series will be released on the streaming platform on May 2.
This year, Liu has been seen wearing several styles of platform heels. Last month, Liu stepped out in a pair dressed in snakeskin leather for the “The Pirate Queen: A Forgotten Legend” game launch. She wore a pair of black Sole Bliss platforms to attend the Hand and Footprint Ceremony honoring James Hong in February. When she arrived at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 19, she walked the carpet wearing leather booties with an elevated base.

About The Shoes
To complete the all-black look, Liu slipped into another pair of black Aleví Milano platforms. The heels featured a patent leather upper with a connected strappy design around the almond toe. The ankle strap of the heels supported the height coming from the elevated base and stiletto heel that was about 5 inches tall.
Recently, platform heels are favored among stars including Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz and Storm Reid, who was seen wearing an Andrea Wazen pair to the 2024 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards earlier this month.
About Platform Heels
While platform heels have been around for a very long time, the style has become more popular over the past decade. The set features an elevated sole which forces the heel to bring at least 4 inches of height to any look. The platform sole helps add support and comfortability to a pair without sacrificing the height.
