Lucy Hale was spotted taking a walk to The Butcher’s Daughter, a restaurant in Los Angeles, on Saturday. The star was casually dressed for the occasion, keeping herself looking cozy and cute.
On her feet, the “Puppy Love” actress sported white loafers. The footwear was crafted of matt stark white leather uppers that transitioned into rounded almond-shaped toes fastened with shiny gold horsebit detailing, providing the style a preppy and vaguely formal appearance. Unlike oxford or dress shoe styles, loafers are less formal, thanks in part to their laceless and slip-on composition. The loafer style, no matter the color, print or shape, is beloved by many celebrities, Hale included.
Many affordable and high-end brands stock the popular silhouette including The Row, Aldo, Clarks, Coach, Steve Madden and Maison Margiela, just to name a few. While black is seemingly the most popular option, loafers have evolved within the past few years to include prints like leopard and zebra, and that’s not all. Loafers have become a medium through which brands can accessories, adorning the shoe style with everything from chains to pearls and spikes. All this to say, the loafer style is endlessly versatile.

Like her casual and cute footwear, Hale’s ensemble was equally so. The thespian’s outfit consisted of a light gray ribbed sweater layered overtop a white long-sleeve top. On the bottom, Hale sported high-waisted dark-wash jeans with a baggy hem that almost eclipsed her footwear. Rounding out her look, the “Scream 4” actress wore large black sunglasses accompanied by a plethora of gold jewelry and a cream-colored crossbody bag. Hale’s look is perfect for grabbing coffee, taking a stroll or, in her case, grabbing lunch.
In general, Hale often opts for classical shoe silhouettes like sneakers, clogs or loafers in neutral hues from brands like Nike, Aldo and On Running.
