Lori Harvey attended a Max Mara event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. For the evening out, the designer opted for all black, accentuated with diamonds.
For shoes, Harvey went with a classic option. Working with stylist Jill Jacobs, she chose a pair of black Christian Louboutin So Kate stiletto pumps. The shoes are 4.7 inches in heel height. They sport a pointed toe. And they are all black. The vamp is cut low on the heels, exposing much of the foot except for the toes themselves.
The black stiletto pump is one of the most classic and versatile shoes. It provides the wearer with height and when the vamp is cut low, can lengthen the proportion of the foot. They can either be dressed up with gowns or they can be thrown on with jeans. In neutrals, specifically, this versatility is even more pronounced.

Harvey paired it with a strapless black dress from Sportsmax. The jersey look features a massive design flourish on one side. In addition she wore a few strands of diamonds on her ankle and a diamond-encrusted necklace.
It’s unlikely the classic stiletto pump will ever go out of style. it is a staple of women’s closets. Some trace its emergence back to Roger Vivier‘s Aiguille which was introduced in 1954. That shoe made heels lighter and more resistance than prior stiletto heels because it boasted a metal rod in the wood of the shoe. Most brands that create women’s shoes have their own version.
During Paris Fashion Week, she notably wore a pair of white pointed-toe stiletto pumps. She paired that with a vintage blazer from Mugler. For that look, she also wore a few strings of diamonds on her ankle.
