Lindsey Vonn Transitions From Formal Glamour to Nighttime Sparkle in Heeled Sandals for Serena Williams’ ESPYs After-Party
Lindsey Vonn was ready to keep the night going after the 2024 ESPYs, making a glamorous appearance at Serena Williams‘ after party for the awards show honoring excellence in sports. While the Olympic skier’s outfit changed dramatically from day to night, one thing about Vonn’s ensemble stayed the same: her black heeled sandals.
Held at Delilah in West Hollywood, ESPYs host Serena Williams’ after party was a star-studded affair with guests including Vonn, Kelly Rowland, Russel Wilson, Ciara, Vanessa Bryant and more prominent figures from the athletic world.
Prior to the after party, Vonn’s handy black heels complemented a more formal look; to attend the July 11 ceremony at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, Vonn wore a bright yellow gown in a shiny satin-like material. The dress featured a high neckline and a gathering of material directly above a high slit exposing her leg. With an asymmetrical design, the dress featured one long sleeve and a dramatic train. With this look, the black sandals subtly complemented the bright sunshine hue of her dress.
For Serena Williams’ after party, Vonn slipped into a chic sparkling dress that featured a shorter hemline and an equally eye-catching fabric. The fitted silver dress included a turtleneck and long sleeves, as well as ruched fabric that criss-crossed over the skirt. She continued to wear her long blonde hair out and carry the black clutch she held earlier in the day.

Vonn’s versatile black heels complemented the dark silver hue of her dress, as the athlete left the lighter colors behind with her nighttime aesthetic. Establishing a sharp foundation, the minimalistic shoes featured a sole that came to a point in the front. The heels also included a black strap beneath the toes and a thinner strap around the ankle. With a simple but elegant design and a classic monochrome color scheme, the heels were the perfect adaptable wardrobe piece to blend with two dresses in strikingly different colors.
With an opening performance by Ciara, an honor presented to Prince Harry and many more awards given out, the 2024 ESPYs proved a memorable night in the worlds of sports and entertainment. In addition to Vonn, other stars showing off their fashionable footwear at the event included Terrell Owens, Halle Bailey and Serena Williams’ daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., whom she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian. Overall, strappy sandal heels proved to be a popular style on the red carpet.
