Leslie Bibb left behind the beach-ready aesthetic she showcases in “The White Lotus” while in New York City on Tuesday, instead opting for a preppy Thom Browne ensemble including brogue heels.
The actress dressed up in a matchy-matchy suit look including a single-breasted coat and cuffed wide-leg trousers with a miniature houndstooth pattern printed across them. Another patterned buttoned garment was underneath her coat in addition to a white collared shirt and stiffly knotted gray tie. The ensemble was made more striking by dark trim which sharpened her aesthetic. Sporting her signature blonde bob, Bibb’s accessories included black sunglasses and a black purse with gold accents.
When it came down to shoes, the actress went with a classic Thom Brogue footwear style with a pair of brogue heels. The shoes include a pointed toe and tapered heel with a prominent inward curve. Like brogues, the shoes feature a high-cut vamp, laces and decorative perforations. A red, white and blue grosgrain loop tab represents the brand at the heel.
Thom Browne has reinterpreted the brogue design in a myriad of ways — Ariana Grande, for example, wore pink and white heels with laces and perforations while at the Paris Olympics this past summer. That style featured a low-cut vamp.
Amid widespread discussion of “The White Lotus” Season Three, Bibb was recently in the city of light during Paris Fashion Week. She attended the Roger Vivier’s La Rose Vivier presentation on March 6 which showcased the brand’s new rose-inspired collection. The actress told FN, in part, “I love this collection. I think it’s so feminine yet so strong. I think the use of color is extraordinary.”
