Lea Michele attended the 2023 FN Achievement Awards in New York on Wednesday. During the ceremony, Michele presented the Designer of the Year award to Gherardo Felloni, creative director of Roger Vivier.
For the star-studded night, the Broadway star sported a classic pair of satin black pumps from Roger Vivier. Michele’s shoes featured striking pointed toes that transitioned into sleek arches. A nearly 3-inch stilettos rounded out the set, offering the beloved songstress a subtle boost in height.
Accompanying her classic pumps, Michele wore a sheer stark white lace gown fitted with dainty bow detailing. The dress was layered overtop a white bodysuit, offering the “Glee” star more coverage, and sheer black tights.
Michele has a long relationship with Roger Vivier. For her debut at the Met Gala this year, the actress wore silver platforms by the brand on the event’s red carpet. Gherardo Felloni joined Roger Vivier in 2018. The designer fully hit his stride this year, introducing a couture-inspired collection for fall 2023 and debuting actual bespoke handbags at Paris Couture in July.
Michele’s shoe style is often contemporary and versatile. During appearances and on the red carpet, the Teen Choice Award-winning actress often wears pointed-toe pumps and strappy sandals from top brands including Jimmy Choo, Aquazzura and Stuart Weitzman. Off-duty, her footwear ranges from slip-on loafers to slides and sneakers, hailing from Veja, Ugg, Madewell and Anine Bing. The songstress has found major success on the Broadway stage for her lead role as Fanny Brice in the hit musical “Funny Girl.” Michele’s performance in the show has received rave reviews thus far.
For 37 years, the annual FN Achievement Awards — often called the “Shoe Oscars” — have celebrated the style stars, best brand stories, ardent philanthropists, emerging talents and industry veterans. The 2023 event is supported by sponsors Authentic Brands Group, Birdies, Caleres, Crocs, FDRA, Nordstrom, Saucony and Vibram.
