Gaga enjoyed an intimate dinner with friends that lasted multiple hours as she enjoyed the break in her hectic schedule. The multi-hyphenate recently wrapped filming for the upcoming musical psychological thriller “Joker: Folie à Deux,” in which she’ll portray Harley Quinn next to Joaquin Phoenix. Directed by Todd Philips, the film is set for a release date of Oct. 4.

The “Bad Romance” singer has been seen on multiple occasions recently participating in the tall platform boots trend. She wore the style in New York City this past October after a performance with The Rolling Stones for their Hackney Diamonds album release party. The actress was also seen that same month wearing a black 8-inch pair of Pleaser boots that featured side zippers and thin laces. She was also seen wearing an identical pair during a November 2021 outing in NYC. Platform boots have been a signature in her wardrobe dating back to her first album “The Fame.”

A number of other celebrities have been seen sporting similar styles of platform boots as the style has become a popular choice for both casual and high-profile occasions due to its edgy punk-rock aesthetic.
Platform Shoes Trend
Platform shoes first became popular when they hit the scene in the 1970s. Jumping ahead to 2023, platform shoes are now considered to be a rising trend again as they have been openly embraced by the likes of Dua Lipa, Nicki Minaj, Bella Hadid and more. Considered to be a more comfortable choice than stilettos due to their lightly padded midsole and elevated nature, brands like Versace and Pleaser have gone all-in on rolling out the model for spring 2024. Styles like Versace’s Aevitas Leather Platform Boots and the Adore 3000 have become popular shoes of choice.
