Lady Gaga Stuns In Major Platform Boots On Met Gala Red Carpet

What is it they say? The only two certainties in life are death and taxes? That may be true, but it’s also pretty safe to assume Lady Gaga will always bring it on the red carpet.

Love her style or hate it, the singer simply won’t shy away from a major fashion opportunity — and the 2016 Met Gala in New York was no different. Gaga arrived looking as though she was ready to hit the stage and perform, in a statement cut-out bodysuit and matching cropped jacket from Versace. On closer inspection, the jacket was reminiscent of a circuit board, apt considering the gala’s theme this year.

To top off the ensemble, Gaga went back to her roots, opting for seriously towering lace-up platform boots that many, quite honestly, wouldn’t be able to stay upright in. For those who are concerned, we can confirm Mother Monster made it safely up the Met museum stairs.
