Lady Gaga Is the Perfect Harlequin in Ballet-Inspired Heeled Shoes on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Lady Gaga is ready to go full method. The star of the recently released “Joker: Folie à Deux” didn’t necessarily start her promotional tour method dressing, but as things got in a real swing, she’s increasingly embraced Harley Quinn, the character she played.
In her latest look, she appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” wearing a harlequin-inspired dress of her own design and a pair of ballet-inspired shoes.
Gaga’s shoes were the Madomorpho Pink Pointe Pump. The Berlin-based company created the shoe inspired by the look of a pointe shoe that ballet dancers wear. Those include a gathered toe and heel, and a thick block toe bed. While the sole and heel are leather, the upper is silk satin and includes stitched ballet ribbons.

The company also produces the shoe in black, though Gaga’s version was pink.
Balletcore and ballet-inspired designs have been trending for quite some time in footwear. Maison Alaïa‘s ballet flats have been a hot-ticket item for more than a year with designer Pieter Mulier releasing multiple iterations.
The trend shows little indication of slowing: earlier this year, Sabato de Sarno showed pointe-inspired ballet flats in the Burberry resort 2025 collection. Those shoes turned up on the front row of the Gucci spring 2025 show worn by the likes of Daisy Edgar-Jones and Kyra Kennedy.
In addition, during the spring 2025 season Maximilian Davis sent down a Ferragamo spring 2025 collection featuring footwear also inspired by ballet. Many of his footwear designs included ballet ribbons climbing up the leg.
The choice for a single sole shoe is unlike a majority of the choices Gaga has been making on the “Joker: Folie à Deux” promotional tour. Often, the star has been opting for platform styles. While on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” in addition to discussing her engagement, the performer talked about the new film, fashion and gave a performance.
