Michelle Rodriguez, Law Roach and More Celebrity Shoe Moments From the 2024 LACMA Art+Film Gala

The 13th Annual 2024 LACMA Gala is being held tonight at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, gathering together notable names from the art, film, fashion and entertainment industries. This year’s event honors artist Simone Leigh and visionary auteur Baz Luhrmann. LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio will co-chair the event for the thirteenth consecutive year.

Proceeds from the annual Art+Film Gala go toward underwriting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission. This year’s gala is sponsored by Gucci, and we will see a performance by Charli XCX. Star-studded attendees flocked to the gala, going all-out in their best fashion and footwear looks.

In honor of the arts and those stars who appreciate it, FootwearNews is rounding up the best celebrity shoe moments from LACMA Gala 2024.

Turning heads, the renowned stylist donned a pair of velvet booties. Akin to styles from top brands like Aquazzura, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent, Roach’s footwear pick included pointed toes and slightly shiny textural velvet uppers. Although they were hidden beneath the lengthy hem of his trousers, the shoe seemingly included block heels.

Accompanying his textural shoe pick, Roach donned a burgundy double-breasted suit fixed with black button hardware and a structural cut. Aviator sunglasses finished off the star’s look.

Going sky-high, the “Fast X” star flattered her feet in a pair of tan platform heels. The shoe choice included matt tan leather uppers, almond-shaped peep toes and lofty platform soles. The footwear pick gave Rodriguez a soaring boost in height. Peep-toe heels are an exceedingly popular pick among a myriad of stars, especially when the weather is warm.

Contrasting her footwear, Rodriguez sported a three-piece set in light gray featuring a lengthy coat, tailored trousers and a form-fitted strapless maxi dress.

Evoking summer vibes, the “Baby Driver” star pulled up to the arts gala in gilded sandals. Reminiscent of styles from brands like Tom Ford and Aquazzura, the star’s sandals included high-shine gilded straps and rounded open toes. Although they weren’t visible beneath the lengthy hem of her dress, Gonzalez’s footwear likely also included stiletto heels, a feature included in most sandal styles.

Blake Lively

Repping her faves, the “Gossip Girl” star flattered her feet in a pair of strappy Christian Louboutin Emilie sandals in a vibrant shade of pink. Retailing for $1,495 via Moda Operandi, the summer-ready silhouette featured textural suede calfskin uppers that transitioned into crisscrossing straps adorned with crystalized embellishments in varying sizes. 4-inch stiletto heels and rounded open toes finished off the set.

Complimenting her colorful sandals, the “Green Lantern” actress sported a chainmail-inspired mini dress in pastel hues of pink and yellow. The garment was crafted of diamond-shaped pieces strung together with large crystals. Layered overtop, Lively wore a voluminous orange cape that sat off the shoulders.
