Kendall Jenner Gleams in Glossy ’90s Loafers at Bad Bunny’s ‘SNL’ Afterparty

Kendall Jenner brought ’90s minimalism to Manhattan while celebrating boyfriend Bad Bunny’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live.”
On Sunday, Jenner stepped out in New York City for the episode’s afterparty. For the occasion, the model slipped on a pair of smooth black patent leather loafers, which were subtly accented by narrow toes, penny straps and short block heels.
Loafers like Jenner’s are a top trend this year, thanks to their classic silhouette and roots in both preppy and minimalist fashion aesthetics. Round-toed styles with neutral uppers and flat, lug-soled and low-heeled silhouettes have become particularly popular. Styles have also been released in new fall collections from numerous brands, including Dolce Vita, Sanctuary, Tory Burch and AGL.
Jenner’s preppy footwear added a classic finish to her outfit for the occasion: a pale beige suede zip-up jacket and pleated black trousers. The set’s minimalist palette and mixed textures instantly channeled the style of the ’90s, which featured a similarly minimalist approach to dressing — in addition to loafers, which became a key shoe of the era.

The model’s loafers also leaned into her recent penchant for the style, which she’s worn from social outings to Fashion Week shows — and even in Gucci’s new “Gucci Valigeria” luggage campaign alongside Bad Bunny. This month, Jenner was also spotted in another black pair while shooting her latest Calvin Klein campaign, further cementing the shoe as her go-to fall style.
When it comes to footwear, Jenner typically wears a variety of both classic and trendy styles. For events and formal appearances, the former “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star dons strappy sandals and mules from brands like Amina Muaddi, Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent. When off-duty, she can be spotted in Nike and Converse sneakers, Birkenstock sandals and a range of boots from brands including Khaite, The Row and Stella McCartney.
