Kelly Rowland nailed business casual chic with a laid-back suit paired with layered necklaces, a Goyard bag and simple black stiletto sandals at the Brigette Romanek for Crate & Barrel launch dinner on Thursday in Los Angeles.
The former Destiny’s Child member’s shoe featured a patent-leather black strap across the toes and an approximately 3.5-inch stiletto heel. It added a feminine, elevated touch to her effortlessly cool getup of a light blue half-unbuttoned button-down top, perfectly tailored slacks and a long suit jacket she wore over her shoulders.
Black stiletto sandals are a bona fide red carpet and dressy classic, thanks to their versatility and understated elegance. Stiletto sandals are also a staple during warmer months, with many featuring a simple strap across the toes along with an slim ankle strap, creating a barely-there construction. The heel of a stiletto sandal is often 4 inches or above, adding some height for a flattering silhouette.
While Rowland often dresses up in either classic or statement-making heels like the silver Jimmy Choo Mary Jane style pumps she wore at a Golden Globes after-party in January, she’s also a fan of pairing chic looks with classic sneakers, like Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars and Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Dark Mocha shoes.
The buzzy dinner marked the launch of A-list interior designer Brigette Romanek’s new 54-piece collaborative collection with Crate & Barrel. She has worked with the likes of Rowland, Beyoncé, Gwyneth Paltrow and Demi Moore and now her airy California luxury infused décor style “designed to create a moment of exhale in any room” are within reach for the masses.
Roland posed with Paltrow, Romanek and Nicole Avant at the dinner where guests sat in Romanek’s cream-colored buckle accent chairs at a glamorously long, candle-filled table. Abigail Spencer, Elizabeth Mathis and Demi Moore and her beloved miniature chihuahua Pilaf were also in attendance.
