Kelly Clarkson got whimsical in a pair of pointed pumps at the 2024 Olympic Games Ceremony in Paris, France.

In recent months, Clarkson has been seen incorporating elevated models like pumps and platform shoes into her wardrobe, most notably for her daytime television series “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Often styled by Micaela Erlanger, Clarkson counts Aquazzura, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Marion Parke and more as some of her favorite designers.  

In regards to her style, Erlanger told Footwear News that Clarkson is “practical” when it comes to her footwear choices, adding: “We rewear things that we love. If we have a pair of shoes that we love, we wear them again.”

For this go-round of the Olympics, Clarkson is serving as a co-host for the 2024 Paris Games on NBC, and with first appearance coming at thefootbed that allowed for the comfort Clarkson prefers when working. She paired her footwear with an elaborate blue minidress encrusted with silver jewels. Tying her hair into a ponytail, she showcased a bold red lip for her makeup.

Pointed-toe shoes are a classic style that blends together elements of vintage and modern-day fashion. Regarded as a preferred shoe for red carpets and formal occasions, the popularity of the slim stiletto heel started re-emerging again in 2021. The 2024 Olympics are scheduled to officially begin tonight in Paris, France. The multi-sport event will run from now until August 11.
