Keke Palmer Continues Her Style Winning Streak in White Alaïa Slingback Shoe on ‘One of Them Days’ Press Tour
Keke Palmer is still in New York, pushing her new film “One of Them Days,” as well as her latest book “Master of Me: The Secret to Controlling Your Narrative.” The actress stars in the comedy with SZA, produced by Issa Rae, and the film landed at No. 2 at the box office. All of the hubbub has meant that the performer has been hitting press interviews and screening appearances in standout outfit after outfit. One of her latest, while in New York City on Thursday, included a pink coat, ruched white knee-length dress and small printed bag.
For shoes, Palmer and stylist Zoe Costello went with Maison Alaïa’s Decollete slingback heel. The shoe is white and features the typical Alaïa toe shape: a rounded-pointy style. This is more pointed than a typical almond toe while still remaining rounded. In addition, the shoe includes a low-cut vamp exposing the tops of the toes.

The rounded stiletto heel measures about three and a half inches. In addition, the heel is a slingback, meaning that from the front vamp, the upper narrows into straps along the sides of the foot that wrap back around the ankle. They then crisscross back around the ankle for security. The ankle strap includes a buckle.
Alaïa, which is still under the creative purview of Pieter Mulier, sells the slingback in colors like black and candy. Candy is a pale pink. Both are available for $1,290.
Slingbacks are sticking around well into 2025! Though it’s only January, Parker already wore a pair. The mother of one rocked another slingback with an ankle strap earlier in the “One of Them Days” tour. At a screening in Atlanta for the comedy, Palmer wore a vintage John Galliano dress with a pair of red Christian Louboutin Condora Strap heels. While that shoe is similar to Alaia‘s Decollete in that it features a slingback and ankle strap, it differs in that it includes a sharply pointed toe and a beveled stiletto heel. The toe of that style is molded in homage to a bird’s beak.
But other celebrities have been wearing more classic slingback pumps — ones that do not include the ankle strap. Namely, Valentina Ferrer just wore a pair to attend the Louis Vuitton fall 2025 show while Nicky Hilton wore them to the WWD Style Awards. This comes after they were seen throughout 2024.
