Katie Holmes Takes a Jaunt in New York Wearing Ecco Biom 2.2 Sneaker

Katie Holmes stepped out in the Ecco Biom 2.2 sneaker in New York recently, wearing the athletic shoes with jeans and a leather jacket.

Holmes styled her sneakers with light-wash blue jeans, a striped top, a fuzzy sweater and a black leather jacket with wide lapels. The actress is known to reach for versatile wardrobe items that fit into her classic aesthetic, whether a reliable pair of denim pants or a handy jacket ideal for transitional weather.

Holmes’ casual look was accented by a pair of sneakers from Ecco. The Ecoo Biom 2.2 sneaker features leather and suede from Ecco’s tanneries in addition to mesh inserts. The shoe is made with Ecco Biom Natural Motion, which assists with natural foot movement, and Ecco Lytr Technology, which makes for an ultra-light experience for the wearer; rubber inserts help with grip and support. Showcasing a white colorway featuring a few different light hues, the shoes were a sporty complement to Holmes’ streetwear look. Ecco, which makes shoes beyond sneakers, is looking to increase brand awareness. Ezra Martin, chief marketing officer for the brand, said in 2024, “There are not a lot of brands out there in our competitive set who can make an elevated white leather sneaker and also make an ultra casual dress shoe that’s as comfortable as that white leather sneaker.”

The Ecco Biom 2.2 isn’t the first neutral-hued sneaker Holmes has worn. Going to a performance of the Broadway show “Our Town” in January, in which she acted, the actress wore a pair of sneakers from Autry. When it comes to footwear outside of the sneaker realm, Holmes might wear polka dot heels, leather boots or ballet flats.
