Kathy and Nicky Hilton attended Max Mara’s resort show in Venice on Tuesday. The show, glamorously staged at Piazza San Marco, featured an array of elevated minimalistic styles. Yorkshire-born creative director Ian Griffiths took inspiration from Venician history, which informed many of his artistic decisions for the show.
When it came down to footwear, the mother-daughter duo went for vastly different looks. Chic and sophisticated, Nicky donned a pair of black leather slingback kitten heels, likely from the Italian designer. The style consisted of a slim but sturdy slingback construction accompanied by glossy leather uppers and striking pointed toes. Short and thin stiletto heels rounded out the set, giving Nicky’s footwear that aforementioned kitten heel effect.
Kathy’s footwear was the antithesis of her daughter’s, leaning less minimal and more playful. The fashion designer’s style, also likely from Max Mara, featured a sandal construction in a blush pink satin finish accompanied by large blooming florets on the toes and short heels.

Thick satin straps sat across the tops of the socialite’s feet, while thin ones wrapped around her ankles and the heels of her feet, securing her footwear in place. Kathy’s footwear is a colorful addition to her overall ensemble, one consistent with her personal style.
Nicky stuck to neutral tones, opting to wear a black asymmetric dress featuring a leg-climbing side slit. The gown was layered beneath a sharp blazer featuring structured shoulders and satin lapels that mirrored the shiny fabric of her dress. Once again, Kathy took a more colorful route, donning a blue dress featuring a slip beneath and a sheer overlay with a whimsical high neckline and lettuce-hem trim throughout.
Beyond the Hiltons, many stars attended the resort show, many accompanied by their family members. Attendees included Kate Hudson, Yara Shahidi, Brie Larson and Alexa Chung.
