Kate Winslet‘s shoe game sure does hold the crown.
The actress wore a black pump adorned with a ruffled flower on the side of the pointed-toe box to HBO’s “The Regime” FYC panel Wednesday evening. The heels had a stylish, low flare stiletto heel measuring approximately 2-inches tall. The bottom of the shoe was a cream color.
Winslet paired her heels with a black, leather-material pant and an oversized white blazer with satin detailing on the lapels and buttons. She closed the double breasted jacket on stage, but left it open when posing in her royal chair. Winslet finished off her look with gold jewelry and loose curls in her hair. Later in the evening, she joined Janelle Riley, Jessica Hobbs and Will Tracy on stage for the panel to discuss the show at the Paramount Theater in Los Angeles.
In the miniseries, Winslet stars as the Chancellor of an unnamed Central European nation that is unraveling behind the palace walls. The six-part show also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne and Danny Webb among several others. FYC events, short for “For Your Consideration,” are being held around Hollywood by several studios in hopes of garnering votes ahead of award season. FYC events can include screenings, panels and Q&As with various cast and crew members.

An avid fan of a pointed-toe pump, Winslet wore a pair of Jimmy Choos to the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards. She also chose heels for the Harper’s Bazaar U.K. Women of the Year Awards in 2017 and a black pair of Christian Louboutins in 2015 with a little black dress to a movie premiere.
From kitten heels, to medium, high and even ultra-high heels, the flare heel has become popular with all sorts of designers. High end brands like Christian Louboutin have made flare heels as have more affordable lines like Vince Camuto. The look can be easily styled for a sophisticated night out in a skirt or dress or for more of a casual look, just like Winslet’s.
