Julia Fox Goes Bold in Sheer Dress and Matching Vintage Pumps at Vanity Fair Oscars 2025 Party
Julia Fox went glam in pointed-toe pumps while attending the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted By Radhika Jones at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday night.
The pumps, which were crafted with patent leather material, were emphasized by a slightly sheer design in the upper, and secured her feet in place with a closed-back design. Aside from the triangular design usually associated with pointed-toe pumps, the silhouette was completed by a stiletto heel with an estimated heel height ranging between 4-to-5 inches, in-line with what she normally chooses for events. Fox’s stylist Briana Andalore confirmed to FN that the shoes are vintage and not branded.
The model’s sheer pumps matched her sheer dress, which itself showcased locks of hair glued throughout. Designed by Dilara Findikoglu, the dress was a standout of the evening due to its unique design and presentation.

Known for their comfort and versatile styling, pointed-toe pumps are often praised by many designers around the world for their ability to work well with lots of different outfits, and ease of styling as it can be worn to a variety of events. The silhouette is a retro style that has been around since the early 1900s, and has gone through many different iterations over the years. The current versions of pointed-toe pumps are a classic model that merges elements of that retro style with current 2020s inspiration.
In-fact, the silhouette has become a preferred shoe for red carpets and formal occasions, as the popularity of the slim stiletto heel began re-emerging at the start of the 2020s, and many brands such as Michael Kors, Stuart Weitzman and Gucci offer a wide range of pointed-pumps throughout the season.
Fox wasn’t the only celebrity to choose pumps for this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars party. Chelsea Handler sported a pair of the gold BB heels from Manolo Blahnik for her arrival, which were made with handcrafted leather material, and emphasized by an elongated triangular upper. Also featuring a closed-back design that locked her feet in place for security, the shoes were finished with a sharp stiletto heel that measured 4 inches in height.
The 2025 Oscars, officially known as the 97th Academy Awards, take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with Conan O’Brian serving as host for the evening. The ceremony honors movies released in 2024, including “Wicked,” “The Substance,” “The Brutalist, “A Complete Unknown,” “Emilia Perez” and more. Notable nominees for acting categories include Zoe Saldaña, Ariana Grande, Demi Moore, Colman Domingo and more.
