Joey King was one of many stars present at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event in Los Angeles last night, slipping on black platform pumps from Naked Wolfe for the Aug. 8 fête honoring Sabrina Carpenter, Sadie Sink and Marcello Hernandez.
King, who is a close friend of Sabrina Carpenter, arrived at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel in a chic suit. The “We Were the Lucky Ones” actress wore a pair of straight leg dress pants with a matching oversized blazer. King brought unique flair to the event with her textured silver top, which featured a myriad of large paperclips affixed to a base made of chain mail. The layered shirt called to mind Cate Blanchett’s recent outfit which included a top made of 102 spoons.

In addition to her striking top, King wore a pair of attention-grabbing glossy shoes from Naked Wolfe known as the Daria Patent Pump. The 55 mm base and vamp curved into a sharp toe, bringing a sharpened edge to the outfit. The shoes also featured a thin ankle strap and a 160 mm pyramid-shaped heel that expanded into a square base. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Daria Patent Pump retails for $300.
King previously wore the same shoes for a different engagement with Variety, taking part in an Actors on Actors interview with “Kissing Booth” co-star Taylor Zakhar Perez earlier this year. For that occasion, the versatile heels were paired with a black Dolce & Gabbana outfit.
Some of King’s other recent shoe choices have included blue Gianvito Rossi pumps at the Cannes Film Festival in May and crystal-adorned Louboutin pumps for an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in April.
